About
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Northeastern University. I teach in the “Public Advocacy and Rhetoric” concentration, and I have taught classes such as Argumentation & Debate, Rhetorical Criticism, Social Movement Communication, Public Speaking, and Political Communication. Broadly, I am interested in the intersections of rhetoric, race, democracy, and public culture. My work has been published in places such as Rhetoric & Public Affairs, Argumentation & Advocacy, and the Quarterly Journal of Speech. I am a recipient of the Robert G. Gunderson Award from the National Communication Association and the Daniel Rohrer Memorial Outstanding Research Award from the American Forensics Association.
