About
I will be looking to apply to PhD. programs in the next two years. I am interested in maintaining contacts in the academic world, keeping abreast of new research and sharing ideas.
I am interested in studying the dynamics of class formation, labor organization and the dynamics of counter-hegemonic and contentious politics in the Global South, focusing chiefly on Mozambique and Southern Africa. More specifically, I want to study how workers in trade unions in Mozambique view themselves and their relationship to the means of production, the political system and ruling party, and informal, casual and migrant worker sector.
